Fr. Luis Cortes #45 - WR

Cortes captures NJAC Offensive Rookie honors for the second time this season after playing a major role in the Profs' NJAC championship-clinching 48-12 win at Montclair State. He caught five passes for 107 yards as Rowan racked up 431 total yards of offense while finishing their regular season with a perfect 10-0 record. The Profs not only earned the NJAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, they received a bye into the second round and will host the winner of the Springfield vs. Brockport game on November 23 at Noon.

Sr. Gerrit Tosh #58 - DE

Tosh had 7 tackles, 4 solo, 3 for a loss, and 2 sacks in the win at Montclair. He wound up first in the NJAC with 13 sacks.

Sr. Tony Racioppi #3- QB

Racioppi earns NJAC Offensive Player of the Week, ECAC Offensive Player of the Week and rowanfootball.com honors for the third time this season after posting passing numbers of 23-of-30 for 342 yards and five touchdowns in just one half of work in the Profs' 70-7 victory over William Paterson. The win marked the biggest margin of victory in school history for Rowan, which improved to 9-0 overall and 5-0 in the NJAC. The victory also sets up the Profs with a championship showdown next week at Montclair State.

Fr. Kelvin Bellamy #25 - CB

Bellamy earns Defensive Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this season after helping the Profs remain undefeated in a 41-10 conference victory on the road at Kean. Active in the Rowan secondary all day, Bellamy recorded five tackles and snared two interceptions with returns of 18 and 23 yards. Each of his two picks led to Prof touchdowns. He currently leads all NJAC defenders with four interceptions on the season.

Sr. Creg Bethea #8 - RB

Bethea rushed for 97 yards and 3 TD's on ten carries as he helped power the Profs past Kean 41-10.

Sr. Tony Racioppi #3- QB

Racioppi earns NJAC Offensive Player of the Week, ECAC Offensive Player of the Week, and rowanfootball.com honors for the second time this season after leading the Profs to a key 42-21 victory over conference rival Cortland. He completed 17-of-26 passes for a season-high 393 yards including three touchdown strikes of 41, 23 and 12 yards. Racioppi's 393 passing yards were the most by a NJAC player this season. The victory mproves the Profs to 7- 0 on the season and gives Rowan a perfect 3 - 0 mark in the NJAC.



Week #7 -

NJAC Defensive Rookie of the Week

Fr. Kelvin Bellamy #25 - CB

Bellamy was a key contributor to the Prof defense which sparked Rowan's key 42-21 victory over Cortland. He recorded seven tackles (five solo, two assisted) and sparked the Rowan pass defense by breaking up five passes and securing one interception which he returned 14 yards. Bellamy also helped the Profs on special teams, returning two punts for 16 yards in the Rowan victory.

Sr. Michael Osborne #11 - WR

Osborne caught 7 passes for 77 yards and 1 TD against Buffalo State. His fearless over the middle receptions have helped open up Rowan's deep passing attack.

Joe was also key in catching the ball over the middle. He had 4 catches for 63 yards.

Jr. Domenic Tomeo #44 - LB

Tomeo recorded an NJAC-high 20 tackles (seven solo, 13 assisted) including three for a loss in Rowan's come-from-behind victory over TCNJ. He added a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in the win, and helped keep the Profs' undefeated record in tact by making the key play of the game. With TCNJ driving for a potential winning touchdown late in the game, Tomeo recorded a game-saving tackle on a 4th-and-2 play on the Rowan 6-yard line to preserve the Prof victory.

So. Jon Berry #80 - WR

Berry caught 2 passes for 95 yards and 2 TD's, including the winning score against TCNJ.

 


Week # 4 -

Rowan University Athlete of the Week

Sr. Tony Racioppi #3 - QB

Racioppi completed 12-of-26 passes for 281 yards, including touchdown passes of 81 and 12 yards in Rowan's conference opening 29-7 victory over New Jersey City. Racioppi also rushed 12 times for 45 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. While leading the Profs to a 4-0 start, he currently leads the NJAC in both passing and total offense with respective per game averages of 241 and 269 yards. In just four games, Racioppi has completed 66-of-118 attempts for a conference-best 964 yards and eight touchdowns.

Creg rushed for 110 yards on 21 carries. He also caught two passes for 29 yards in the 29-7 over NJCU.

Sr. Tony Racioppi #3 - QB

Tony threw for 4 TD's and ran for 1 TD against Christopher Newport (13 - 23) for 256 yards. He also rushed for 31 yards.


Week # 3 -

NJAC Offensive Rookie of the Week

Fr. Luis Cortes #45 - WR

Cortes helped the Profs top Christopher Newport and improve to 3-0 on the year with 68 total yards of receiving on just two receptions. The majority of his yardage came on a 62-yard touchdown reception which represented the first score of his career.

Jr. Gabe Spitale #2 - DB

Gabe led the Profs in tackles with 14 (7 solo). Near the end of the game he combined to stop Wesley RB Fred Edwards' game tying run for a two point conversion.

Bethea ran for 2 TD's and 74 yards on 22 attempts. He also caught 2 passes for 20 yards. He scored the game winning TD in the 3rd quarter on a 2 yard run.
