Tomeo earns rowanfootball.com Player of the Game in his last game as a Prof. In a losing effort, Domenic contributed 7 tackles, a blocked extra point, and an interception in MSU territory.

Jr. Mike Seidenberg #9 - QB

Seidenberg earns rowanfootball.com Player of the Game. Mike platooned with freshman QB Jabrill Joseph to beat the Pioneers. He was 7-9 for 73 yards with one TD passing. He also rushed for 62 yards and one TD.

The definition of team player. He backed up Racioppi the past two years, plays special teams, and TE.

NJAC Offensive Rookie of the Week

Fr. Mike Orihel #4 - QB

Orihel earns NJAC Rookie honors for the second time this season after leading the Profs to a 32-19 victory over NJAC rival Kean. He produced completed 22 of 31 attempts for 186 yards and three touchdowns. He also carried the ball five times and added a rushing touchdown on the ground. Orihel currently leads all NJAC quarterbacks with a passer efficiency rating of 124.5.

Sr. Domenic Tomeo #44 - LB

Tomeo led the defense in a losing effort to DII So. Connecticut. He had a team high 13 tackles. The defense held the Owls to 6 points midway through the 3rd quarter and 23 points total. So. Conn was averaging 33.9 points per game against DII opponents.

NJAC Offensive Player of the Week

Jr. Pat Thompson #20- SB

Thompson becomes the second different Prof to earn Offensive Player of the Week honors after contributing in a number of ways to Rowan's 34-31 overtime road victory at Cortland. On the ground, he totaled 28 carries for 180 yards and one touchdown. His 2-yard touchdown run came with just 1:40 left in regulation and sent the game into overtime. Following a Cortland field goal on the Red Dragons' first overtime possession, he threw a 16-yard touchdown pass on a halfback option that clinched the Profs' first NJAC victory of the year. Thompson currently ranks second in the NJAC in rushing with an average of 110.8 yards per game.

So. Joe D'Imperio #39 - WR

D'Imperio fought off a Cortland defender and made a sliding 16 yard TD catch for the winning score in overtime against Cortland.


Week # 5-

NJAC Offensive Rookie of the Week

Fr. Jabrill Joseph #1 - QB

Joseph becomes the second different Prof to earn Offensive Rookie honors after averaging 12.0 yards per carry in the Profs' 31-10 non-conference home victory over Buffalo State. In relief of Prof starting quarterback Mike Orihel, Joseph rushed two times for 24 yards including a one-yard touchdown run that helped seal the Prof victory. Joseph is a contributor to a Prof offensive unit that ranks first in the NJAC in rushing, passing, and total offense.

NJAC Defensive Player of the Week

Sr. Vince De Vine #32 - FS

Vince had 4 tackles and 1 pass breakup against Buff St. He put the game out of reach early in the 4th quarter with a 70 yard interception return. It lead to a one play 11 yard TD reception by Mike Pernell.

Jr. Pat Thompson #20- SB

Pat had a breakout game against TCNJ in a losing effort. He ran for 191 yards on 18 carries (10.6 avg). He leads the NJAC in ypc (6.3) and is second in ypg (94.8).

So. Kelvin Bellamy #8 - DB

The 2002 NJAC Defensive Rookie of the Year, Bellamy becomes the second consecutive Prof to win Defensive Player of the Week honors after playing a key role in Rowan's come-from-behind 25-19 victory over Western Connecticut. He recorded four tackles, including one for a loss and recovered one fumble late in the game which sparked the Rowan comeback. He also garnered two interceptions and registered two additional pass deflections. Bellamy was also a factor on the Profs' special teams with four punt returns for 62 yards, two of which set up Rowan scoring drives. Bellamy currently leads the NJAC in interceptions (3) and ranks second in the conference in punt return average (12.3).

NJAC Offensive Rookie of the Week

Fr. Mike Orihel #4 - QB

Against Wesley, Orihel threw the ball 33 times in the first half and finished the day 31-of-47 for 236 yards and a touchdown. The first-year signal caller also had a team-high 15 carries for 25 tough yards and ran for three scores.

Through two games, Orihel leads the NJAC in scoring at 12.0 points per game. He also leads the conference in both passing yards and total offense per game with respective averages of 224.0 and 251.0.

Week # 2 -

NJAC Defensive Player of the Week

ECAC Southeast Defensive Player of the Week

Jr. Todd Trout #31 - LB

A key contributor to a Prof defense which has not allowed a single point in two games, Trout was instrumental in Rowan's 30-0 road blanking of Wesley. He recorded six total tackles including one for a loss. In addition, he recovered a Wesley fumble which led to a Prof touchdown and recorded one interception plus two pass deflections. With the victory, the Profs have now outscored their first two opponents of the season 51-0. Trout's average of 7.0 tackles per game currently ranks 19th among all NJAC defenders.

Rowan University's Athlete of the Week

Fr. Mike Orihel #4 - QB

In his first start for the Profs, Orihel led Rowan to a season-opening 21-0 victory over Christopher Newport. The sophomore quarterback posted passing numbers of 17-for-30 for 204 yards and one touchdown. He also proved to be a factor in the Rowan ground attack, rushing 12 times for 40 yards and one touchdown. Offensively, Orihel directly had a hand in 14 of Rowan's 21 points on the day.
