Mike Orihel threw for 252 yards and five touchdown passes to lead Rowan University over Delaware Valley College, 56-7 in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.

Sr. Mike Seidenberg #9 - LB

Linebacker Mike Seidenberg led the Profs’ defense with nine tackles (6-3) while linebackers. He also recorded an interception and two pass breakups.

Sr. Pat Thompson #3 - SB

Pat rushed 22 times for 153 yards and 2 touchdowns in the 2nd Round Playoff victory against Hobart. He has 1,234 yards on the season with 8 touchdowns and 112 ypg.

So. Keith Heimerl #45 - DE

Keith had six tackles, five sacks and recovered a fumbled in the win over Hobart.

NJAC Offensive Rookie of the Week

Fr. Dustin Katcher #89 - Wr.

Katcher becomes the first Prof to earn NJAC Offensive Rookie honors after contributing to Rowan's 42-14 NJAC road victory over Montclair State. He garnered two receptions for 34 yards and a 28-yard touchdown in the win which wrapped up an unbeaten conference season for the Profs.

So. Mike Orihel # 4 - QB

Orihel earns NJAC Offensive honors for the fifth time this season and the third consecutive week after leading the Profs to a 42-14 NJAC road win over Montclair State to wrap up an undefeated conference season for the Profs. In the victory, he completed 12 of 28 pass attempts for 217 yards and four touchdowns. On the ground, he produced five carries for 16 yards and two touchdowns as the Profs finished the regular season with an 8-2 mark. Orihel currently leads all NJAC quarterbacks with a passer efficiency rating of 155.5.

Jr. Sakeen Wright #17 - Wr.

Sakeen helped start the 61-6 rout of William Paterson. He scored on the very first play of game by hauling in a 62 yard touchdown pass.

On the Profs' third scoring drive, he grab a 41 yard touchdown pass.

He finished with 4 catches for 137 yards and two touchdowns (34.25 ypc).

NJAC Offensive Player of the Week

ECAC Player of the Week

So. Mike Orihel # 4 - QB

Orihel earns NJAC Offensive honors for the fourth time this season and the second consecutive week after leading the Profs to the NJAC Championship with a 61-6 win over William Paterson. In the air, he completed 10 of 12 pass attempts for 252 yards and three touchdowns. On the ground, he added two rushing touchdowns in the victory. By virtue of a 5-0 NJAC record, the Profs clinched the NJAC crown with one conference game remaining. As champions of the NJAC, Rowan also earned the league's automatic qualification to the NCAA Division III National Tournament. Orihel leads all NJAC quarterbacks in passing yards with an average of 301.5 per game.



Week # 8-

Sr. Pat Thompson #3 - SB

Pat rushed 36 times for 186 yards and 1 touchdown, for 5.2 ypc average. It helped the Profs keep the ball for over 48 minutes against Brockport St.

Thompson is second in the NJAC in rushing with 766 yards, 4.9 ypc and 95.8 ypg.

NJAC Defensive Rookie of the Week

Fr. Randy Tosh #34 - LB

Tosh earns NJAC Defensive Rookie honors after playing a key role in Rowan's 39-33 overtime non-conference win at SUNY Brockport. He collected 12 total tackles, including six solo stops in the victory. He also recovered a fumble in the contest which improved the Profs to 6-2 overall on the season. Tosh currently ranks sixth in the NJAC in tackles with an average of 5.8 per game.

So. Mike Orihel # 4 - QB

Orihel earns NJAC Offensive honors for the third time this season after leading the Profs to a key 39-33 overtime non-conference road victory at SUNY Brockport. He completed 27 of 41 pass attempts for 372 yards and four touchdowns, including a 21-yard scoring strike in overtime to clinch the win. He also rushed five times and registered a one-yard touchdown in the victory. For the game, he posted a passer rating of 174.2. Orihel currently leads the NJAC in passing yards per game (308.6), total offense per game (306.9), and passer efficiency rating (148.4).

ECAC Defensive Player of the Week

So. Ed Kunder #94 - CB

Kunder become the third different Prof to earn NJAC Defensive honors in 2004 after helping spark Rowan's 24-16 come-from-behind NJAC victory at Kean. He collected seven total tackles, including four solo stops, and forced a key fumble to set up Rowan's winning touchdown. He also garnered four sacks for a net loss of 20 yards in the game. Kunder currently ranks eighth in the NJAC in sacks with an average of 0.64 per game.

NJAC Defensive Player of the Week

So. Tim Harrison #33 - CB

In his first career start for the Profs, Harrison earns NJAC Defensive honors after helping Rowan remain unbeaten in the NJAC with a 34-33 come-from-behind victory over Cortland. He notched 13 tackles, including 12 solo stops in the win. He also recorded one tackle for a loss, an interception, and two pass deflections from his defensive back position. Harrison currently ranks 40th in the NJAC in tackles with an average of 3.5 per game.

Jr. Joe D'Imperio #39 - WR

Joe D'Imperio made a terrific leaping catch of a Mike Orihel pass, broke a tackle and sprinted into the end zone for a 41-yard score. It put Rowan 3-0 in the NJAC, and in control of the conference.

It was his second straight game winning catch against Cortland. Last year he made a sliding grab in the back of the endzone for 34-31 OT win.

Linebacker Randy Tosh recorded seven tackles and a nine yard interception against Va. State.

He's a QB, TE, Punter, LB, and special teamer. Mike has performed very well since moving to LB full-time. He totaled 10 tackles against Va. State.

Brian blocked a TCNJ punt early in the second half that led to a Rowan touchdown. It put the Profs up to stay.

Aaron scooped up the blocked TCNJ punt and ran 10 yards into the endzone. Rowan went up 21-20 at that point

So. Mike Orihel #4 - QB

Orihel earns NJAC Offensive honors for the second time this season after leading Rowan to a 35-20 road victory over NJAC-rival TCNJ. In the win, he completed 39-of-50 pass attempts for 351 yards. He also registered four passing touchdowns of 2, 28, 8 and 19 yards apiece as the Profs improved to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the NJAC. Orihel currently leads the NJAC in passing yards per game (308.5), total offense per game (314.0), and passer efficiency rating (149.5).

Sr. Mike McClain #5 - LB

McClain played a key role in a Rowan defensive effort which opened NJAC play by holding Western Connecticut to just 30 rushing yards in a 43-7 road victory. He totaled five tackles, one fumble recovery and a team-high three pass breakups in the win. He also recorded a 42-yard interception return which helped spark Rowan to its first NJAC victory of the season. McClain currently ranks seventh in the NJAC in tackles with an average of 8.0 per game.

It took a total team effort to defeat both a ranked opponent in CNU and a bad officiating crew.

Fr. Kicker #49 Andrew Smith - A TD saving tackle on a kickoff return

So. Mike Orihel #4 - QB Orihel opened his sophomore season by leading the Profs to a 33-32 road victory over Christopher Newport. In the win, he completed 29-of-40 passes for 372 yards and five touchdowns, including scoring strikes of 5, 15, 3, 38 and 5 yards. On the ground, he aided the Rowan ground attack with 10 carries for 40 yards. After one week of play, Orihel leads the NJAC in total yards with an average of 412 per game.

Berry caught eight passes for 121 yards and three touchdowns

Jr. Phil Silva #8 - WR
Silva caught eight passes for 103 yards.

Jr. Sakeen Wright #17 - WR
Wright caught four passes for 46 yards and two touchdowns.

Kunder blocked a CNU FG in the first quarter.

Fr. Eric Bailey #32 - FS
In his first collegiate game, Bailey recorded eight tackles, including seven solo stops as the Profs defeated Christopher Newport on the road, 33-32. He also notched one pass deflection and one interception on the final Christopher Newport drive of the game to seal the win for Rowan.
