Have you ever made a financial contribution to RU athletics?

Have you ever been involved in promoting RU athletics?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you are a booster. Remember – once a booster, always a booster! Status as an athletics booster at a NCAA college or university carries with it serious responsibilities. If you are a booster, remember – only RU staff may be involved in the recruiting process.

You may speak with a recruit over the phone only if the prospect initiates the call and it is not for recruiting purposes. You can watch the prospect in an athletic competition, but you cannot contact the prospect on this occasion. You cannot contact a coach, school principal or counselor in an attempt to evaluate a prospect, and you cannot arrange for any type of benefit for a prospect, including any type of gift, such as clothing, merchandise, equipment, cash or like items. You also cannot cosign a loan, provide free or reduced-cost services, rentals or purchases.

Why are you running ads, are you trying to make money?

We are still a non-profit site, but it costs money order to continue to build and archive content, especially audio and video files. Our traffic continues to increase (over 1,000,000 hits per year) as more people find out about rowanfootball.com. Advertising helps defray some of the costs in keeping the site running. We've lost money every year since inception in 2002. We will still probably lose money again in 2005. But a little ad revenue will help.

We are looking for advertisers that want to reach the Rowan Community. See our advertising requirements.

If you are interested in advertising contact webmaster@rowanfootball.com.

Can I make a donation to help the site?

A few alumni have requested donation information. If you would like to make a donation to help enhance this website. Any amount will help. Click on the Paypal button below and use a card or debit card. This credit card transaction will appear on your bill as "PAYPAL *ROWANFOOTBA".

All proceeds will go to the operation of this site. Year end expense reporting (available Jan 2006) may be requested by emailing webmaster@rowanfootball.com. Surplus funds will be donated to Rowan University.

Does rowanfootball.com cover every game during the season?

We try. There are two people that cover most of the games, but we'd like to have at least two people taking pics and contributing to games stories at most or all of the games.

It would be a nice opportunity for an aspiring photojournalist or sports junkie to add to their resume. The site has been growing in popularity since its inception in August 2002. Rowanfootball.com is in the top ten for Rowan football searches amongst major search engines. We had alumni as far away as Russia listening to WGLS football highlights. We average 20-25,000 hits per week in season, Offseason we average 8-10,000 hits per week.

When is rowanfootball.com going to have more records, stats, and pictures from past seasons?

We are working on developing a positive relationship with Rowan University and the other NJAC schools. In 2002, our first year of operation, we spent time knocking on doors trying to get access to information from SID offices at the various NJAC schools.

In 2003, some doors slowly started to open. We are hoping to keep improving our relationships with the various schools in 2005.

I'm a [Rowan football player, or parent of a player] why don't you put up a picture of [me, of my son]? I/He plays [fill in the blank]?

See the above answer. Some doors are starting to open... stay tuned.

We don't have field access at every school to take pictures. At some schools, we are resigned to taking photos from the fence line surrounding the various fields. We are limited to shots between the 20 yard line and the endzone. Many good photo opportunities are blocked by sideline personnel.

We will do our best to get as many quality photos of the players and coaches as our access permits.
